The GAWDA mission is to promote the safe operation and economic vitality of distributors of industrial gases and related welding equipment and supplies. While GAWDA provides a suite of member resources to assist in this mission, our Consultants act as the first line of defense to help members navigate through day-to-day questions and issues.

GAWDA is looking for an addition to the safety consulting team. The individual should be well versed in current OSHA, EPA, Homeland security regulations and standards, as well as best practices in general plant operations safety.

The new consultant will work hand in hand with our current consultant team to respond to member questions by phone and email and will maintain and update GAWDA’s OSHA & EPA Reference Materials. Additionally, this individual will also contribute informational articles on proposed changes, updates and alerts to regulation and standard as well as general compliance enforcement activity as needed. This individual will also participate in monthly safety committee and government affairs committee meetings and will provide GAWDA HQ staff with a monthly consultant activity log, as well as other safety-related activities related to our membership.

Our ideal candidate can demonstrate:

  • Expertise in the industrial gases and welding supply industry and is well-versed in current OSHA, EPA, Homeland security regulations and standards, as well as best practices in general plant operations safety

  • The ability to develop relevant content, training and workshops to keep members up to date on all regulations and other relevant information

  • Strong communication skills including written and presentation format
