GAWDA is excited to announce the extension of our monthly interview-style presentation series designed to help our Members plan during these unpredictable times. The initial six-month series launched on October 14, 2020.

GAWDA has partnered with other distribution associations as part of the AEA  (Association Education Alliance) to offer a monthly series of ITR reports and Q&A sessions to address economic trends.

This monthly interview-style presentation series is designed to help your company plan during these unpredictable times. Ian Heller will host ITR economist Catherine Putney for this dynamic program. Catherine will answer questions covering industry trends, business to business activity, trade, inflation, interest rates and more.

Catherine Putney, ITR

Catherine Putney provides economic consulting services for small businesses, trade associations, and Fortune 500 companies across a spectrum of industries. With her economic insight and forecasting experience, she plays a key role in maintaining ITR Economics’ 94.7% accuracy rating.  She specializes in business cycle trend analysis and in applying the resulting insights at the company level.

Catherine earned a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of New Hampshire. She has been featured on The Wealth Formula Podcast, in Foodservice Equipment Industry’s State of the Industry report, and in local New Hampshire publications.

Ian Heller
Founder and Senior Partner, Distribution Strategy Group

Ian is the Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer for Distribution Strategy Group, a research, consulting, analytics and thought leadership firm that provides marketing and strategic planning expertise to the distribution industry. Ian started his career as a truck unloader at a Grainger branch and left fifteen years later as the VP Marketing. Since then, Ian has served in similar roles at GE Capital, HD Supply, Corporate Express and Newark Electronics.  Ian holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and is a popular writer, speaker and consultant in the distribution industry.
