HOLLYWOOD, Florida — Last year, the Compressed Gas Association (CGA) and the Gases & Welding Distributors Association (GAWDA) partnered to host the industry’s first Young & Emerging Professionals Summit, which provided technical education to over 2,000 attendees. This event will return in August 2021 with multiple web-based sessions offered across a 4-week span.
The 2021 Young & Emerging Professionals Summit will feature one topic per week. The first session of each week will provide a high-level overview followed by a panel discussion, and the second session will feature a technical deep dive dissecting an incident or technical issue and the resulting effect on industry best practices.
Summit 2021 topics will include:
- Acetylene & Liquefied Petroleum Gas: August 3 & 5
- Inert Gases: August 10 & 12
- Hydrogen: August 17 & 19
- Oxygen: August 24 & 26
This online series is open to CGA and GAWDA members age 45 and younger or who are new to the industry, and will be available at no charge thanks to generous support from our event sponsor, Weldcoa. Additional details and registration information will be provided in early summer.
