GAWDA Spring Management Conference Dates Changed from March to May 2021

HOLLYWOOD, FL – In mid-November, GAWDA reached out to our members asking for feedback on the March 29-31, 2021 SMC. The feedback indicated that many members felt that late March was too soon for travel, considering the ongoing outbreaks and restrictions.

In response to their feedback, we went back to renegotiate with the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, TN, and have now secured the dates of May 24-26, 2021.

We’ve recently seen the launch of the First Pfizer COVID Vaccines to all 50 states.  As more of the population gets vaccinated, and we continue to practice safety protocols, we hope to see the country get safer and travel restrictions loosen.  Safety continues to be our top priority.  We have ensured that enough meeting space is reserved to spread out as needed. The agenda is packed with valuable content, including great speakers and five educational breakout sessions.

GAWDA leadership is fully committed to safely resuming in-person meetings, starting with our SMC in Nashville 2021.  We have made the strategic decision that a small meeting is better than no meeting at all, and this 60-day extension simply increases the likelihood that a “small meeting” gets larger and more conducive to attendance.

Additional information on the SMC will be released in 2021.
