A discovery schedule and tentative May, 2008 trial date were set in a welding fume lawsuit filed in the District of Montana in September. Plaintiff, Thomas Reynolds alleged that he developed skeletal fluorosis as a result of inhaling fluoride fumes contained in welding fumes. Reynolds was employed as a welder from 1972 to 1985. Fluoride is a necessary component of certain welding consumables.
