GAWDA Foundation Scholarship Program is Open for the 2019-2020 Academic Year

HOLLYWOOD, Florida ‒ The Gases and Welding Distributors Association (GAWDA) Foundation Scholarship Program is open for the 2019-2020 academic year. “GAWDA annually awards the scholarships as a way to help educate, attract, and keep quality individuals in the welding and gases distribution industry,” said John Ospina, GAWDA Executive Director. The awards will be announced at the Association’s annual Spring Management Conference being held May 4-6 in Minneapolis, MN.

With 70 scholarships awarded since the program began in 2011, it is our pleasure to announce that the GAWDA Foundation has fourteen scholarships of $2,000 each available this year.  The GAWDA Foundation Scholarship is available to children (18+) and employees of active GAWDA member companies. The goal of the GAWDA Foundation is to promote education within the Gases and Welding Industry. Therefore, the Trustees make the decisions regarding use and distribution of the funds available.

Your support is needed to keep the scholarship program alive.  For 2019 GAWDA will match member donations, up to $25,000, to support this worthwhile program. Your donation demonstrates to your employees and to fellow members your commitment to advancing education for the future of our industry.
