After deliberating less than twelve hours, a jury in three-week trial in the County Circuit Court in the city of El Dorado, Arkansas returned a general verdict in favor of the defendants, including distributor and GAWDA member WELSCO. WELSCO remained a defendant through trial despite a lack of concrete evidence linking any of the products used by the plaintiff to WELSCO. Ron Calloway claimed permanent neurological injuries as a result of his exposure to welding fumes. However, defendants experts were able to establish that Calloway had a brain tumor which accounts for all of his neurological symptoms.
