The Finance Committee will assist the Board of Directors in fulfilling its fiduciary responsibility to the organization by ensuring that proper financial, accounting and audit controls are in place. The committee will meet annually with GAWDA’S designated investment firm to confirm that the investment strategy for GAWDA’s reserve fund aligns with the short and long term goals of the organization. The committee is not responsible for developing annual budgets or business plans, but will assist the Executive Director and Executive Committee as requested with financial analysis required to develop such plans.
