Booths are assigned on a first come, first-served basis. To register for the Contact Booth Program, please complete and return the Contact Booth Application by August 17, 2012. To register for a booth, it is imperative that each company be a member of GAWDA, be current on their dues, have at least one fully registered convention delegate, and issue fully payment to Headquarters by the cut-off date of August 17, 2012. All of the above criteria must be met or your booth application will not be processed.
Registering for a booth does not include convention registration. To attend the convention educational sessions and social events, you must register for the convention.

GAWDA Gives Back
Now in its thirteenth year GAWDA Gives Back continues to support local charities in the Annual Convention host city. The program has raised over one million dollars since it began and has impacted thousands of lives. This year's President Bryan Keen has selected two charities from the Colorado Springs area as the recipients of the 2012 GAWDA Gives Back Campaign, The Peak Parent Center and Partners in (hope and) Housing. We hit the ground running this year with a Silent Auction at the SMC. The Silent Auction, which usually takes place at the Gettysburg region meeting, was held at the SMC because Gettysburg is scheduled after the Annual Convention this year. Over $18,000 was raised, so we're off to a great start.

The Annual Convention will be held at The BROADMOOR - the longest-running consecutive winner of both the AAA Five-Diamond and Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star awards. This 5 star Colorado Springs resort is located on 3,000 lush acres under the shadow of Cheyenne Mountain and offers an award-winning day spa, fitness center, two swimming pools, three outdoor hot tubs, one lap pool; 54 holes of championship golf, six tennis courts with tennis camps; children's programs; 24-hour room service, valet parking, 24 specialty retail shops; and we are pet friendly. For more information about the hotel, visit www.broadmoor.com
Hotel Update
The Broadmoor inventory is completely depleted due to the number of groups holding events over similar dates. GAWDA is one of five groups at the hotel between the dates of September 5 through September 14. We have 346 room nights at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort at the same room rate of $234 per night. Shuttle service will be provided between the Broadmoor and the Cheyenne Mountain Resort over the event dates.
The total room block of 2,030 room nights exceeds the actual pick-up numbers for the last three GAWDA Conventions by over 125 room nights. Last year, we sold 1,876 room nights in total, so it looks like attendance will be strong in Colorado Springs.
We appreciate your patience and support.
GAWDA has negotiated discounted room rates for the Annual Convention at THE BROADMOOR, and at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort (Overflow Hotel). The GAWDA group rates are listed below:
| ROOM TYPE |

Reservations made after this date will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at the nearest rate. Applied to the room charge will be a $16.00 daily resort fee for single or double occupancy and 2.50 for each additional person.
Reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card at the time of reservation and will be charged first night and tax as a deposit.
Reservations may be cancelled, or stays shortened, up to seven days prior to arrival. In order to prevent a cancellation or change fee of one night's room rate, cancellation or reduction in arrival and/or departure dates must be confirmed no later than seven (7) days prior to your arrival date.

THE BROADMOOR-EAST COURSE
Spencer Penrose contacted renowned architect Donald Ross in 1916 to design an eighteen-hole golf course for the property he was dreaming up. Ross, who had designed golf courses for several of the top golf clubs in the country, declared The BROADMOOR course his "best work".
When completed in 1918, BROADMOOR East course was the highest golf course in the United States at 6,400 feet in elevation. It is now a combination of the original Donald Ross design mixed with holes designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. in 1952.
- Holes 1-6 – Donald Ross
- Holes 7-15 – Robert Trent Jones, Sr.
- Holes 16-18 – Donald Ross
It has been home to many major tournaments, including the 1959 U.S. Amateur, which was Jack Nicklaus' first major win, the 1964 U.S. Amateur, 1995 U.S. Women's Open, which was Annika Sorenstam's first major title. Most recently, it served as the host course for the 2008 U.S. Senior Open won by Eduardo Romero. We will again host another USGA major championship, The 2011 U.S. Women's Open Championship.
Course Description
The East Course is known for its wide fairways and large greens. With tree-lined fairways and amazing mountain views, The BROADMOOR East Course is ranked among the best in the country.
With large trees that can alter your shots, and putting greens that can be difficult to read, the best tip we can offer for this open course is to remember that putts break away from the mountains.
The GAWDA golf tournament will feature a four-player scramble format. Golf participants can create their own foursomes prior to the event and spend a day networking with Distributors and/or Suppliers of their choice.
The golf registration fee of $235 includes golf carts & green fees. Golf club rentals are also available for $65.
It is imperative that the golf registration form and pairings request form be completed in order to assign the foursomes.
The deadline to return forms is August 17, 2012. You will not be guaranteed a place in the tournament if you have not completed payment on the main attendee registration form.
Cancellations for the golf tournament must be received by August 31, 2012. No refunds will be given after this date.
If you have questions regarding the golf tournament, please contact Cecilia Barbier at (877) 382-6440 or cbarbier@gawda.org.
